DESCRIPTION:The perfect gift for mom- a creative experience and a new family heirloom to cherish 🩷 Build your own display bowl with your family or friends’ hand shapes! \nBring in your own large bowl or use one of ours as your template. You’ll trace your hands\, transfer them to clay\, and decorate them with etchings and texture. Finally\, you’ll attach them all together to form your bowl! \nOne kilo of clay is provided which is enough for two adult hands and two smaller hands. Additional clay is available for $10 per half kilo. \nYou may choose to paint it yourself (included in price) or choose from our selection of rustic glazes and we’ll add it to your piece. The bowl will be ready for painting or pick-up in two or three weeks. \nThis activity is available throughout Mother’s Day weekend from Friday\, May 8th to Sunday\, May 10th. SUMMARY:Teens Wheel Throwing Intensive Camp - July 2026
DESCRIPTION:July 6th – 10th | 9:00am – 12:30pm | Ages 10-16 | $300 plus tax \nIn this 5-day camp\, teens will take a deep dive into the world of ceramics and wheel throwing. We’ll learn through hands on lessons\, starting with the fundamentals of centering\, opening\, pulling and shaping with different skill-building lessons and challenges each day. \nNo experience needed\, but this class is limited to ages 10 and up as real wheel throwing requires some upper body strength and ability to work with the hands. The other summer camps also do wheel throwing but in a more kid-friendly way. \nEach day will have 90 minutes of wheel throwing\, 30 minutes snack break and 90 minutes with a different creative activity\, including clay hand building\, glow in the dark\, and more. \nMonday: Wheel throwing basics : bowl & candle holder project + Clay hand-building \nTuesday: Straight side bowl (cylinder) challenge & closed forms lesson + Glass Fusing \nWednesday: Working with larger amounts of clay + nail & string art \nThursday & Friday: Height challenge & Independent projects with help from staff + Ceramics / glow-in-the-dark painting \nCampers will make 1-2 projects per day and may have any number of items fired in our kiln. Items will be ready for painting 1 week after the camp. Painting of one item is included for free\, painting additional items $20 per item. \nPlease pack a nut-free snack for break time \n \n*Activities are subject to change based on interest
