A dedicated instructor guides the kids through the process of making a bowl on the pottery wheels. It’s a unique experience to make something with your hands from the spinning clay!

When the kids have made their bowls, they can choose two favourite colours for the inside. While you serve the pizza we paint the bowls and the kids can see the bowls as they leave.

The finished bowls, shiny and glossy, are ready for pickup after two weeks.

Package price: First EIGHT participants for $350.00 plus tax. Additional participants $30.00 plus tax each. Kids 7 and older, best for 9 and up. Not suitable for children under 7.

What should I know about a Clay Wheelie party?
This section explains what’s special about a Clay wheelie party, the next section explains general information about any Crafty Pots party.

We have nine sitting wheels, and two optional standing wheels so the format varies with the number of participants.

With eleven or fewer participants: the full hour is wheel time and everyone does two wheel projects. First one is kept for painting.

With twelve or more participants: each gets half an hour at the wheel for one wheel project, and half an hour for one hand built project. The wheel project is kept for painting, but the hand built project is not kept.

Capacity: Max 22 participants. It’s not possible to have more than 22 participants at the wheel in the available time. Additional participants can paint ceramics.

Because of scheduled wheel classes, this party is ONLY available Saturday at 11 am to 1 pm, Sunday at 11 am to 1 pm and Sunday at 2 pm to 4 pm.
The duration of a party is two hours. The activity generally takes an hour and when the activity is over, the rest of the time is yours. You can serve pizza and cake and the kids can have fun singing and taking selfies with the photo booth.

We provide white paper on the tables and you'll have a separate table for pizza, cake and presents. The "What food can we bring" section below tells what kinds of food is permitted.

You're welcome to come 15 minutes early to decorate the room if desired.

Plates, napkins, cutlery etc. are not included, but if you run short we can supply a few extra. We have a cake knife and lighter that you're welcome to borrow. A Bluetooth speaker is present for you to use.

The staff member helping with the party will make sure the activity part goes smoothly, and will take care of the cleanup before and after food, but they're not going to be able to help serve food or provide entertainment.

Latecomers may miss part or all of the activity, and we're unable to discount for late arrival.

The kids have unlimited use of the selfie photo booth, feel free to bring props. The images can be emailed or airdropped afterwards.

We provide as many printed invitation cards as you need. Please click here to download a fillable PDF version.

After the party we can give you Thank You cards to hand out and you get a special VIP family pass good for 10% discount on any activity for four people, valid for six months from the date of the party.

Noisemakers, chewing gum, silly string etc. cannot be handed out in loot bags or used during the party. Sparklers are completely forbidden due to the fire risk.

For safety and to keep the party running smoothly, everyone stays in the party room during the party unless it is a full-studio party.

Tipping is optional, but if you had a great party please tip your host directly.
When can a Clay Wheelie party be booked?
On Saturday, a wheel party can only be booked 11 am – 1 pm, because there may be other booked wheel classes later in the day.

On Sunday, a wheel party can be booked 11 am – 1 pm or 2 – 4 pm. There is no 5 pm timeslot on Sunday.

Weekday parties are not possible at this time due to staffing limitations.

On weekends it’s possible to start earlier than 11 am if desired. This does not change the 2 hour duration.
Pizza (cheese or pepperoni), snacks (fruit trays, cupcakes, chips or similar), drinks and of course cake (both regular and ice cream) are welcome.

To keep cleanup manageable and maintain a pleasant environment for everyone, we only allow the foods listed above.

You cannot bring food like meat-heavy pizza, burgers, wings, chicken nuggets, shrimp, sandwiches, catered food, sushi etc. If you bring food that is not on the permitted list we reserve the right to disallow it.

Unfortunately we don't have a fridge.

We request that no nut products be brought in but cannot guarantee to be nut free.
Up to three adults can stay with the birthday child; other guests are dropped off (For toddler parties - one parent per child is fine and expected).

We know that some parents will choose to stay, and that's usually not a problem but seating is limited, as the party room is sized for the kids.

The party room isn't meant for an adult get-together, and the party price doesn't include one: if more than 8 adults stay, we reserve the right to charge $20 per adult after the first 8. Want the adults to stay and celebrate too? Book the full studio — details below.

The party room can seat 15-18 participants depending on the party type, assuming few attending adults. For large parties where you'd like the parents to stay, we can do full studio parties in the morning where you get both the party room and main craft room all to yourself for up to 60 kids and adults. More about this option further down.
For a fantastic experience for a large group you can book the full studio, meaning the main craft room PLUS the party room for 2 hours.

The cost for a full studio party is the normal package price PLUS a full studio fee of $450.00 plus tax.

The full studio fee includes an additional 10 participants on top of the number that is included with the package. For most packages that gives you 20 included participants (18 for Clay Wheelie parties).

Additional participants are charged at the usual $30 rate. All children present are counted as participants. If fewer kids are present, some adults can participate to make up.

For full studio parties, two adults are permitted per child present so you can have a great get-together. Total seating capacity is about 60.

The door will be closed to other painters so your guests have exclusive use for the duration, but we will allow other people to come in to pick up their finished pieces.

The full studio option is only available for the Saturday and Sunday 11 am or earlier time slot. We do not do mid-day full studio parties, sorry.
A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is necessary to secure the time and date. The deposit is applied to the final bill, which is due at the end of the party. The host must pay the entire bill, guests cannot pay individually.

We prefer cash and debit payments. Credit cards cost us 3–4% in fees, so rather than raising prices for everyone, we charge the permitted 2.4% surcharge on credit card payments.

If the party is cancelled with at least a week's notice, the deposit will be converted to store credit that must be used within 30 days of the original party date. If cancelled with less than a week's notice, the deposit is forfeit. Rescheduling and then canceling forfeits the deposit.

All children present at the party must participate, infants excepted of course.

The price is the same with fewer participants but attending adults can participate if necessary. Unfortunately it's not possible to get credit for fewer participants or take unused material home for later painting. All party activity must be finished the same day.
