We provide suggestions below, but a team-building event doesn’t have to be very structured, simply sitting everyone down at the tables and being creative together will be a good experience.
We’ve got a very large selection of attractive ceramic items to paint, individually priced averaging $39. For teambuilding, the most popular option is to set a budget that covers up to that point and let the participants choose freely. They can pay the difference if they’d like to paint something larger.
So many ways to make a mug themed event:
Option: Each person chooses a mug but it gets painted as a team effort. They start their design and paint their mug for 20 minutes or so, but then the mugs rotate around the table and someone else continues to work on it for 20 minutes before the next rotation.
Option: The people on the team draw names and choose and paint a mug to match the personality of the person whose name they received.
Option: Each person choose a mug, and then they write down how they’d like it decorated, as detailed as they wish. Once they write down the directions, the team rotates chairs one or or times and each person has to create on the pottery in front of them.
We can bring ceramics and all supplies to your workplace for a very special event for a minimum charge of 10-20 participants depending on location. Further details below.
A travel fee of $25-$50 applies depending on location. Generally, events at your workplace can only happen on weekdays before noon.
For events at your workplace the selection is limited to a regular mug for $28, a regular salad plate for $30 or a bowl for $32. All prices plus tax. The host has to let us know in advance how many of each item we should bring for the participants.
Team building events take around two hours, adults usually paint for around 90 minutes or so. Please use the website contact form to send in a request with details and a manager will get back to you.
The painted ceramics have to baked in our electric ovens, called kilns after they’ve been painted. This makes the colours much brighter and puts a protective glass layer on the items that makes them food safe. This process takes five to seven days, and then we’ll call you.
Events outside the studio take place on weekdays before regular opening hours. We cannot do events outside the studio on the weekend or later in the day, sorry.
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required. If the event is cancelled, the deposit becomes store credit valid from 60 days after the date of the original event. If not used for in-studio activities in that time, the deposit is forfeit.
Payment is due on credit card or prefilled check when the event ends. We'll call our studio and process the credit card payment over the phone. We provide a receipt with the finished items.
The "Minimum charge" means we'll charge for that number of participants even if less people attended. There is no option to make up the number later, sorry.
Markham: 10 participant minimum charge, $25 travel charge. Free delivery.
Stouffville, parts of Richmond Hill: 15 participant minimum charge, $25 travel charge. $25 delivery charge if delivery is requested.
Outside the above areas: 20 participant minimum charge, $50 travel charge, and $25 delivery charge if delivery is requested.
In some cases you can book the whole studio – both sections, and have the entire place to yourself and do training sessions or briefings with projectors and AV setup.

Some weekdays, like Thursdays are relatively quiet and we can for example open late and give you the whole studio until say 4 pm.
Things like this are handled on a case by case basis, and you’ll need to contact the manager on the website contact form and explain what you’re trying to set up. The manager will get back to you for more information and pricing.
Full studio bookings comes with a minimum charge of 30 painters but the manager will provide specifics and adjust pricing to your situation.
